Still time to enjoy Tamworth Castle’s ‘Summer of Dragons’

Dragon Trails Tamworth Castle 2024

There isn’t long left to join Tamworth Borough Council in Dragon Tails, the ‘Summer of Dragons’ event at Tamworth Castle.

Visit Tamworth Castle where Ruby the dragon has invited some of her dragon friends to lay their eggs. Explore the castle and meet experienced dragon charmers, take part in dragon challenges and encounter baby dragons. Throughout the summer holidays, you will be able to discover the Elemental Eggs as each hatches a new species of dragon. From fire to water, can you charm them all?

The first two elemental dragons of fire and air have already fledged and flown the nest with two dragons left to charm.

  • Earth dragon: 19- 25 August
  • Water dragon: 26 August – 1 September

Included in general admission. No pre-booking necessary.

If you have visited the castle for each of the first three dragon themes you can claim a free visit to see the final water dragon (25 August -1 September).

Just present your stamped dragon passport at reception to gain free entry during water dragon week.

Tamworth Castle also has a great range of bespoke souvenirs and keepsakes which feature Ruby the dragon that you can take a look at when you visit.

Lewis Smith, Portfolio holder for people services, engagement and leisure for Tamworth Borough Council, said: “Our Dragon Tails, Summer of Dragons has been a huge success so far. Many have come to charm the fire and the air dragon.

“There is not long left at all to visit the last two dragons. Explore the castle and charm the dragons and remember to get your dragon passport stamped!

“This is a great opportunity to visit Tamworth Castle and have fun for the last couple of weeks of the summer holidays.”
