Saturday 14th

One of the highlights of the social calendar, the We Love Tamworth extravaganza will be returning to the Castle Pleasure Grounds this September. Presented by Tamworth Borough Council’s Arts & Events team, this exciting free event is now in its seventh year and promises to be a whole lot of fun.

A wide variety of fairground rides, games, inflatables, and even a dog show, will be on offer to entertain the crowds. Or why not peruse the variety of charity and business stalls which have been booked for the day? Run by Tamworth Lions Club, money raised from the stalls section will be used to fund deserving causes across the borough.

Running alongside We Love Tamworth is the Funtopia fun zone, the perfect place for children to blow off a bit of steam. There will be a dedicated under-5s area which boasts soft play, a ball pool, and bouncy castles. Older children can compete with mum or dad on the high energy bungee runs, don a sumo suit or ride the inflata-bull. Wristbands are £5 for children aged 12 and under, with adult wristbands only costing £1. For more information on We Love Tamworth visit www.visittamworth.co.uk/we-love-tamworth. Saturday 14th – Sunday 15th

If you wanted to take a step away from the crowds and learn more about Tamworth’s history, then Victorian Living History at Tamworth Castle has you covered.

Step back in time and join the Victorian governess, housekeeper and servants of the castle for a taste of what life was really like 150 years ago. Visitors are invited to experience the daily activities of a Victorian household by helping the servants with their chores or participating in a lesson from the governess. The castle will be open to visitors from 10.30am until 3pm both days. For more information, visit www.tamworthcastle.co.uk.

Saturday 21st

Are you a great gymnast and want to show off your skills as a cheerleader? Do you have the discipline to succeed at martial arts? Then get yourself down to the Castle Grounds between 12pm and 5pm for a fun-filled and interactive afternoon for all the family.
